Fillr Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 23, 2026
Summary
Fillr ("the App") does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data, usage analytics, or device information. Everything you do in the app stays on your device.
What information is collected
None. Fillr does not have a backend server, account system, login, or analytics.
What information is shared with third parties
None. No third-party SDKs, advertisers, analytics providers, or data brokers are integrated.
Local data
Fillr stores the following on your device only:
- Your chosen display name (used so the other phone knows who you are during a multiplayer match).
- Your selected background theme.
- The local-network permission status, managed by iOS.
This data lives entirely in iOS UserDefaults and is removed when you uninstall the app. It is never transmitted off your device except via the device-to-device multiplayer message described next.
Multiplayer connections
When you tap "Host a game" or "Join a game," Fillr uses Apple's MultipeerConnectivity framework to discover and connect to another iPhone running Fillr on the same Wi-Fi network. The only information exchanged is:
- Your chosen display name
- Game state messages (board seed, moves, resignation, rematch)
These messages travel directly between the two phones over an encrypted peer-to-peer connection. Nothing is logged or sent to any server.
Children's privacy
Fillr is rated 4+. Because Fillr collects no data of any kind, it complies with COPPA and similar regulations by design.
